New York Jets was built in 1959, Florham Park, New Jersey, an original member of the American Football League. It's a Professional football team representing the New York metropolitan area.The team is a member of Eastern Division of the American Football Conference in the National Football League.

The team started to play in 1960 at Polo Grounds .Since 1968, the Jets have appeared in the playoffs thirteen times, and in the AFC Championship Game four times, most recently losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010.

The Jets have undergone three significant uniform changes with minor alterations throughout the years. As the Titans of New York, the team wore blue and gold uniforms similar to that of Notre Dame's.The well-known green and white uniforms came out in 1963 when the team was renamed. In order to commemorate their heritage the franchise introduced Titans of New York throwback uniforms in 2007 .
